TECHNICAL PRODUCT MANAGER
Overview

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Engineering, Sales and Marketing to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Projects & Responsibilities
  • Prioritize development projects based on revenue potential, level of effort, and strategic importance
  • Create product requirements documents (PRDs) of varying levels of detail to guide development work
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to provide direction and feedback and to ensure that deliverables meet acceptance criteria
  • Oversee development projects to ensure timely completion, including User Acceptance Testing process and release communication
  • Be the point person for day-to-day communication with the Marketing and Sales teams
  • Execute ad hoc data pulls to serve technology and operational business needs
  • Perform analyses to drive ROI-based feature and product prioritization decisions
  • Occasionally, help QA new products and features
  • This position reports to the Director of Product Management
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a distributed development team within an Agile development environment
  • Strong technical background with experience in Web technologies
  • Solid understanding of Internet protocols, languages & frameworks, including HTTP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and databases
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior teamwork skills
  • Development experience preferred in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C/C++, .NET, ColdFusion, PHP
  • Experience with user experience design and/or website usability is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management roles with performance marketing, online advertising, or Web application companies
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics or other technical field (MBA is a plus)
